Our client for this very compact 1920’s bungalow hired SDW for three distinct remodeling projects. First, SDW converted the basement of this small North Portland bungalow to create a guest bedroom suite with a bathroom and a sitting room with a fireplace as well as a laundry room and utility area. A subsequent renovation included a backyard transformation including French doors to an eating area and deck, mud room and bike/trash storage. Finally, SDW expanded the tiny, walled-off kitchen by opening it up to the dining and living room spaces. The renovation repurposed underused utility space to enlarge both the kitchen and adjacent master bathroom. SDW specified all lighting, finishes, and cabinetry.
